Luis Eduardo Davila Salazar was fatally shot in Northeast Washington, D.C., on the afternoon of March 12, 2007. He was 51 years old and was in the 1500 block of Olive Street near Quarles Street when the shooting occurred around 3:00 p.m.

The Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes Branch is handling the investigation, which remains open. A reward of up to $25,000 has been offered for tips that lead to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible. Detectives have been following leads but the identity of the shooter or shooters is still not known.
