I’ve been thinking a lot about the sheer terror that the Nelson kids must have gone through that night. It’s beyond comprehension how they managed to survive such a horrific ordeal and then had the courage to face their attackers in court. To have witnessed the brutal murder of their parents and still stand strong enough to testify is a testament to their incredible strength and resilience. Their bravery undoubtedly played a crucial role in ensuring that justice was served. I hope that, despite everything, they have managed to find some peace and healing over the years. Anyone else have thoughts on the impact enduring such trauma at a young age might have had on their lives? My heart goes out to them and the entire community affected by this tragedy.
