Hey everyone,
I've been thinking about Sergeant James Russell Ward and the community in Montgomery. It's been almost 30 years since his tragic death, and I'm curious how the local community remembers him today. Does anyone know if there are any memorials or annual events held in his honor? It's important we remember the sacrifices made by those who serve and protect us. I did read that he left behind a wife and son—my thoughts go out to them. It must be incredibly difficult to cope with such a loss, even after so many years. Would love to hear if you have any insights or personal connections to his story. Thank you.
Stay safe out there, everyone.
Hey everyone, I recently came across the case of Sergeant James Russell Ward, and I’ve been thinking a lot about the circumstances surrounding his tragic death. What really struck me is the bravery it takes to run towards danger, especially when your life is on the line. It's incredible how Sergeant Ward and officers like him put themselves in perilous situations daily to protect us. It must be incredibly hard for his family, knowing he was taken from them in such a sudden and violent way. I can't even imagine the kind of strength required to cope with something like that, all while processing the fact that justice, in some way, was served. If anyone knows more about how the community has continued to honor his legacy, I'd love to hear about it. His sacrifice surely deserves to be remembered.
