Was anyone else struck by how much support Chief LeMaster’s family received from the community following his tragic death? It’s clear that he was deeply respected and valued in Grant, just from the way everyone rallied around the family in their time of need. In such a small town, I can only imagine how hard this hit everyone, and yet it seems like people really came together, showing just how tight-knit Grant really is. I’ve read stories of residents organizing vigils and fundraising events to help his family, which just goes to show the positive impact he must have had on so many lives. My thoughts are with his loved ones, and I hope the support from the community has brought them some comfort over these years.
