Larry Dean was fatally shot in the early morning hours of September 14, 2007, on the 2200 block of Savannah Terrace SE in Washington, D.C. The shooting occurred at about 1:55 a.m.; emergency responders reached the scene but Mr. Dean died of his injuries.

The Metropolitan Police Department assigned detectives from the Violent Crimes Branch and canvassed the neighborhood for witnesses and evidence. Investigators have continued to solicit the public’s help and offered a significant reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction. No arrests or suspects have been publicly identified, and authorities have not released the circumstances or a motive for the slaying.
