What puzzles me most about Dee Ann Keene’s case is the decision to dismiss the murder charge against McMillion. I mean, how often do you see a case go from a grand jury indictment to having the charges dropped? It seems bizarre, especially considering that witnesses heard gunshots and saw McMillion's threatening behavior. I get that without a body or concrete forensic evidence, there's a legal challenge, but with his past and the circumstances of that night, it's hard to grasp how the prosecution couldn’t make the charge stick.
Does anyone have thoughts on what specific evidence might have been lacking or what could cause witnesses' statements to conflict to the point of dismissing such serious charges? It's frustrating to think there might be answers out there but no way to bring them to light. I hope someone breaks their silence soon.
