Hey everyone, I’ve been reading up on Georgeann Hawkins’ case lately, and something caught my attention that I hadn’t really thought about before. It’s that scream the housemother mentioned hearing. I know these were different times, but dismissing it as a prank? I can't help but wonder how common it was to hear screams in that area back then for her to brush it off. Was something else going on around campus where screams wouldn’t immediately trigger an alarm? There were already other young women missing, right? Makes me think about community responses back then and if things might have turned out differently if people had been more on edge about the dangers. Anyone else come across info about campus safety concerns during that time?
