I was looking over Estelle Abbott’s case again and something popped into my mind. Has anyone considered the heavy reliance on Jay, her pit bull, as a potential lead? Dogs, especially those who are bonded with someone experiencing Alzheimer's, can be very protective and may exhibit unusual behaviors. I wonder if Jay could have led her into the woods or even if someone lured Jay, inadvertently leading Estelle astray in the process. Also, pit bulls can be intimidating, which might have made strangers think twice about approaching her, especially if Jay seemed on edge or protective. There's a lot of focus on Estelle, but Jay could be key in understanding what happened that day. I remember reading about cases where dogs helped find missing persons or, at the very least, provided critical clues to their whereabouts. Has there been any attempt to reach out to local animal shelters or rescues in case Jay was spotted without Estelle? It might be worth revisiting this angle.
