I signed up just to post and see the comments for this case. I knew him from around the age of like 14, we lived in the same area. I used to visit him when he was in the hospital, with his mother before her passing. I would really like to know what happened to him, and I don't remember an eye scar in his videos posted September 2024 on facebook, and his sister never said anything on social media, that I know of....Anyone have any updates?
Has anyone heard anything more about Joseph Nathan Yates's unusual habit of taking long solo drives? I remember a friend once mentioning that he found it therapeutic, especially when he felt overwhelmed. Given his medical conditions, I'm wondering if he might have gone off grid somewhere, possibly a location only familiar to him. I know the police have been scouring the usual places, but it's hard not to think about those lesser-known spots he might've frequented. If anyone has any info or theory about any 'quiet' places Joseph might escape to during rough times, it could be helpful. I've been following the case of Joseph Nathan Yates here in Virginia, and something that's been bugging me is the lack of media coverage. Given his medical conditions and the potential for him to become violent without his meds, you'd think there'd be a bigger push to have his face everywhere. The scar on his face makes him pretty recognizable, so everyone local needs to be aware. It's frustrating that more people aren't talking about him, and I hope there's some new leads soon.
