I recently came across Jarvis Holmes' case, and it's absolutely devastating to hear that it remains unsolved. One thing that stands out to me is the number of unsolved homicides in Birmingham during that time. It's incredibly frustrating and sad to know that so many families are still waiting for justice for their loved ones, just like Jarvis' family. I can't help but wonder if there's something more we can do as a community to push for answers and bring closure to these families. Sending strength and thoughts to Jarvis' loved ones who are undoubtedly carrying the weight of his absence every day. Does anyone know if there have been any updates or renewed efforts to look into these cold cases?

Hey everyone, I’ve been reading through the discussions here about Jarvis Holmes, and I can't stop thinking about how his mother and brother must be feeling. To lose someone so young and full of potential is beyond comprehension. It’s not just about the numbers, like the depressing increase in homicides from 2014 to 2015; it's about the real lives that are touched and changed forever. I was heartened to see that a memorial service was held at Mt. Zion Church and that Jarvis was laid to rest at New Grace Hill Cemetery. It seems like his family and friends did everything they could to honor his life and memory. Even though it’s been years, the fact that his case remains unsolved is another layer of grief for those who loved him. I hope there’s some movement soon, for the sake of his family’s peace of mind. It's crucial we keep talking about these cases, to shed light and maybe one day find justice for Jarvis and others like him.

I’ve been thinking about how Jarvis Holmes' case reminds us of all the challenges families face when they don’t get closure. I can't even imagine what his mother and brother must be going through, still hoping for answers after all these years. The rise in violent crimes that year in Birmingham seems to have left so many other families in the same heartbreaking situation. It’s just so frustrating to see these cases grow cold while loved ones continue to wait for justice. Sending strength to the Holmes family and anyone else affected by these unpunished crimes. I hope one day they find peace and the closure they deserve.
