In the spring of 2008 the body of Bobby Lewis Moore was found inside an abandoned building in the 5900 block of East Capitol Street SE in Washington, D.C. Officers located his body about 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, May 13; it was apparent he had been dead for some time when discovered. The Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch opened a criminal investigation and offered a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Despite that effort, the case grew cold. No arrests or suspects have been publicly named and the circumstances of Moore’s death remain unsolved. His case is listed among the MPD’s unsolved homicides for 2008.

If anyone has information about Bobby Moore, the location where he was found, or saw anything unusual in that block in May 2008, please come forward.
