It's puzzling that there hasn’t been more attention on the vehicle Gerardo was driving—does anyone know if there was ever a thorough investigation into whether it was found somewhere along his route to Monterey? I wonder if authorities tracked it down or if it somehow vanished just like he did. Any clue on its make or model could provide some much-needed leads. My heart goes out to his family; not knowing must be incredibly tough.
