I was doing some reading about the Joe Clyde Daniels case, and I can’t stop thinking about the role the older brother played as a witness. It’s just chilling to think about what he had to go through and what he must have seen. His testimony was so crucial, and it’s heartbreaking that a child as young as eight had to experience such trauma and face the terrible task of testifying against his own father. I hope he’s getting the support and counseling he clearly needs. It’s heartbreaking to know that a young child was forced to carry such a heavy burden. Does anyone know if there's any ongoing support for him from the community or family members? The impact on him must be so profound.

I've been following the Joe Clyde Daniels case pretty closely, and something that really stands out to me is the role of the older brother in all of this. Can you imagine the trauma that poor kid endured witnessing such violence and then being threatened to stay silent? It's a lot of pressure and fear for such a young child to carry. From what I've read, he was only eight at the time. I can't help but think about what kind of support he's receiving now and how this experience will impact him long-term. Has anyone come across any updates on his wellbeing or a potential name change for privacy? It's always distressing to think about how the siblings in these situations cope in the aftermath.
