I’ve been reading a lot about Demetrius Kelly’s case, and one thing that really stands out to me is how resilient his family has been despite the lack of closure. It must be incredibly difficult not having answers for so long. I can’t even imagine the pain of losing someone so young in such a senseless act of violence. It’s baffling that no one has come forward with enough information to identify the vehicle or the suspects. It's frustrating to see how cases can go cold even with witness accounts of something like a speeding car. For those who lived near Mobile Road and Gibbs Drive at the time, even the smallest detail might help piece this tragic puzzle together. I really hope justice will eventually find its way to Demetrius and provide some peace to his loved ones. Is there anything more we, as a community, can do to support his family or help bring new attention to his case?
