Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about Horacio Cooks' case, and something that really sticks out to me is the role of abandoned properties in these tragic events. It’s so disheartening to think about Horacio living in such conditions, relying on temporary shelters with no real security. These abandoned houses can attract all kinds of dangerous activities and put vulnerable individuals like Horacio at risk. I wonder if more attention to securing and repurposing these properties could help prevent future tragedies. It also makes me think about community support systems and how they can be strengthened to offer better resources for folks who find themselves in tough situations. My heart goes out to Horacio’s family and friends—they’ve been through so much grief in such a short time. Wishing them, and everyone affected, some peace and justice. Has anyone heard if there have been any community efforts to address issues surrounding these abandoned areas since this happened? It would be encouraging to know that some positive changes are underway. Stay safe, everyone.
