Has anyone else been following the tragic Massingale case? I'm really baffled by the lack of a clear motive. Duane and JR were acquaintances, and apparently, this all happened after a day of drinking. It's disturbing to think that something as routine as hanging out could escalate to such violence. I keep thinking about Veronica — not only did she lose her husband in such a brutal way, but she had to endure this horrific attack herself. It's an unimaginable ordeal. She's shown tremendous bravery, and I hope she's getting the support she needs to heal, both physically and emotionally. What's puzzling is how alcoholism or a moment of inebriation led to JR's violent outburst that night. Do you all think alcohol alone could push someone to such extremes, or is there more beneath the surface that hasn't been uncovered yet?
