I’ve been digging into Faith Marie Van Nortrick’s case, and something that stands out to me is the arrest in Sallisaw for public intoxication. It’s puzzling how after determining she wasn't under the influence, the officers didn't pursue any further evaluation or assistance, considering her erratic behavior and mental health history. Given the slurred speech and dilated pupils, could there have been some other health issue at play that wasn’t assessed? It's curious why more wasn’t done, especially since the family couldn't pick her up. It's devastating to consider how her mental state might have influenced the chain of events following her release. Anyone have insights on how police handle situations like this where mental health is a factor?
