Just came across this case of Salathio Lockett, and I can't stop thinking about the impact on his family and community. From what I've read, it seems the neighborhood on St. Stephens Road has been a place of concern for a while, with prior incidents before Salathio's tragic death. I wonder how the community has responded since then? It's clear that his friends and family remember him fondly, describing him as someone with potential and a future ahead. It must be incredibly tough for them, waiting for answers and justice while also trying to advocate for a safer environment for other young people in the area. My heart goes out to his loved ones, and I hope the community has found a way to honor his memory by working together to prevent further violence. Anyone here local to Mobile who could share a bit more insight into how things have changed or stayed the same since 2016?
