Hey everyone,
I've been following the case of D'Vonte Flonnoy, and something that's been weighing on my mind is the role of community support in these tragic situations. I read about the moving service they held for him at Freewill Missionary Baptist Church, and it really got me thinking about how crucial it is for communities to come together in times like these.
Despite the circumstances surrounding his past, it's clear that D'Vonte was loved by many, and the impact of his loss is felt deeply. It's disheartening to see how gun violence continues to affect our communities, and it makes me wonder what more we can do to support one another and work towards prevention.
Does anyone else have thoughts on how communities can effectively come together to both remember the ones we've lost and also tackle the root issues of violence? I think it's important we keep having these conversations and not let the cycle continue.
