I’ve been following the case of Nia Savage, and something that really stands out to me is the origin of the gun involved. It was reportedly stolen from an unlocked vehicle during a Mardi Gras parade. This detail bothers me a lot. While it doesn't change the devastating outcome, it highlights the issues surrounding gun security and responsibility. How often do we hear about firearms being stolen due to negligence? It’s just so frustrating that incidents like this can happen. It makes me wonder if there should be stricter penalties for leaving firearms unsecured. My heart goes out to both Nia’s and Lakendrick’s families. I cannot imagine the anguish they must be feeling, compounded by all these unanswered questions. Keeping them all in my thoughts as they navigate through this nightmare.
