I’ve been poring over the details of Owen C. Powell’s case, and I noticed something odd about the potential sighting locations. While the reports claim he was last seen in the vicinity of 3rd Avenue and West 52nd Street, anyone who's familiar with Manhattan knows that 3rd Avenue doesn’t intersect with West 52nd.
Should we be looking at the right spot? Could this have affected the search efforts back then? It’s such a crucial detail that might have been overlooked. Perhaps this has created confusion in the investigation, which could explain the lack of solid leads. I know it's been over two decades, but clarifying this discrepancy should be a priority. Maybe someone with more local knowledge or access to old maps might shed light on this mystery. The smallest details sometimes make the biggest difference in cases like this.
