Hey everyone, I’ve been reading up on the Ramon Lopez case and something struck me as odd. The area where he was last seen, FDR Drive, is such a well-trafficked place. I mean, you have tons of cars going by at all hours, and it's right by the East River. Has anyone ever looked into whether there were any construction projects or traffic cameras in that area back in '96? I'm just thinking about whether there might have been workers or footage that could have accidentally captured something back then. I know it was a long time ago, and tech isn't what it is now, but maybe there's a small chance something might have been overlooked. Anyone have thoughts or knowledge about how stuff like this was managed in NYC during the 90s?
I was thinking about the location where Ramon Lopez was last seen, the FDR Drive. It's a heavily trafficked area, especially back in '96. I wonder if anyone remembers anything unusual from that time? I understand it’s a long shot given the years that have passed, but perhaps construction workers, taxi drivers, or regular commuters might recall details from that day which didn’t seem relevant back then. The case seems to lack visibility and every bit of information could leverage the search. Is there anyone familiar with how missing persons cases are handled in areas like this, where there’s so much daily activity? Would love to hear thoughts on how such environments impact potential witness accounts or evidence gathering.
