Hey everyone, I've been going down the Jesús María De Galíndez rabbit hole lately, and I'm really curious about Gerald Lester Murphy's role in this whole affair. It's wild to think that an American pilot might have been involved in such a complex international incident. His sudden disappearance after reportedly admitting involvement makes me wonder what truly happened to him. Did he have a change of heart and try to distance himself from the whole operation, or was he silenced like so many others? I can't help but think that his fiancée's claim about him mentioning De Galíndez adds gravitas to the whole theory. Also, the fact that a job with a Dominican airline might have been orchestrated for him by Trujillo himself is just mind-boggling. What do you think? Could Murphy have been just a pawn, or did he have more agency than we know? Would love to hear everyone's thoughts on this aspect of the case!
