Hey everyone, I've been following the Vincent Paul Petrilena case from Lake Mead, and I can't stop thinking about the logistics of the rescue attempt. Does anyone know how effective the life jacket strategy is in choppy waters like those in Grebe Bay? It seems like such a tough decision for the companion on board to make. Given the strong winds and the drifting houseboat, I'm curious if jumping in was the safest option or if there were any alternatives that might have helped. Maybe getting the boat closer first before attempting a rescue? I'd love to hear any thoughts or similar experiences out there.
