I've been following Judy Staten's case from Florence, and I can't help but think about the role that the people around her might play in this investigation. It's eerie to think that the lack of forced entry suggested she possibly knew her attacker. Imagine having that level of betrayal—from someone you trust, someone you let into your space, and then this happens. It must be so painful for her family to consider. I wonder what, if anything, her neighbors or those who knew her noticed in the days leading up to her death. It's often in hindsight that small details become significant. A car out of place, an unknown visitor, even a change in Judy's usual routine. These things might seem trivial at first, but they could be the key to understanding what happened. It's reassuring to know the community is still so involved, keeping the case alive and supporting her family. Hopefully, with time and persistent effort, some new lead will open up. The thought of her loved ones not having closure is just unbearable. Keeping Judy and her family in my thoughts, and hoping justice arrives soon.
