Robert Jackson was shot on Monday afternoon, September 28, 2009, in the 100 block of 35th Street SE in Washington, D.C. He was rushed to a hospital and fought for his life for three days before dying of his injuries on Thursday, October 1, 2009. The Metropolitan Police Department has asked the public for help but the case remains unsolved, with no suspects or arrests reported.

Jackson, 29, was found dead in a lawn chair in Northeast D.C. in the early hours of June 25, 2011, shot at least seven times in the back. Investigators said nobody in the area called 911 until nearly an hour after the gunfire, hampering the inquiry; more than two months later there were no firm suspects and no arrests.
