Eddie Rapheal Blocker was fatally shot in the early morning of Friday, October 2, 2009, in front of 1512 18th Street, SE, Washington, D.C. The shooting occurred at approximately 4:19 am. He left behind his daughter Edniya, parents Charlene Blocker and Eddie Harris, siblings Lakisa, Alexis, and Jamal Blocker, and his fiancée Krystle Amos.

The Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch investigated the case and has kept it open. The department has appealed for public help and offered a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction. No suspects have been publicly identified and no arrests have been announced, and the motive and circumstances remain unclear.
