Does anyone else find the concept of accomplice liability really difficult to grapple with after hearing about this case? I mean, I understand the legal reasoning behind it, but it’s so hard to wrap my head around the idea that someone like Kevonta Brown, who was allegedly involved in the robbery but not necessarily the one pulling the trigger, can be charged with murder. My heart goes out to the victims’ families; it must be incredibly difficult to navigate their losses while also trying to make sense of how justice is served in situations like these. It just makes me think about the impact these laws have on everyone involved and whether they really do achieve the justice they aim for. Thoughts?
