Has anyone here ever thought about the timing of when that small cave was found in 2006? I know it didn't yield anything, but it makes me wonder if there are other hidden caves beneath the surface we just don’t know about. The boys definitely had a sense of adventure, and from what I’ve read, the cave system around Hannibal is pretty intricate. Is it possible they ventured into an unmapped area and got lost? I’ve also read that some locals back then had theories involving mine shafts or abandoned tunnels connected to the construction sites. Does anyone know if there are records or maps from back in the day detailing these areas? I can't shake the feeling that the story isn’t as straightforward as it seems. Either way, it’s chilling to think about how these boys just disappeared without a trace.
