I'm really struggling with Eric Roney's case. It’s incredibly difficult to fathom how an innocent person can be caught in such a senseless act of violence. My thoughts are with his family and friends who must be feeling an unimaginable void without him.
I was wondering if any of you are local to the Birmingham area and remember the dynamics of the neighborhood around that time. Was there any increased tension or knowledge of ongoing disputes that might have contributed to such a tragic incident? It seems like these "car-to-car" shootouts are becoming more common, and it concerns me how easy it is for innocent people to become victims.
If anyone remembers anything or perhaps has heard something in the community that could assist the police, it's so vital that this information gets to the right people. Eric deserves justice, and his family deserves some peace.

I can't stop thinking about the really tragic case of Eric Anthony Roney from February 2018. I've been following the threads here and on other forums trying to understand how such a terrible incident could remain unresolved for so long. It's just gut-wrenching, especially knowing that Eric was just living his life, an innocent bystander who had no part in the violence that was happening around him.
What really gets to me is that this happened in broad daylight, right there in the middle of the afternoon. It makes me wonder about the community atmosphere in Bush Hills at that time. Were there any indications of increased tension or criminal activity leading up to that day? And how has it affected the neighborhood since then? I keep hoping that someone, maybe even a witness who was hesitant to speak up, will eventually feel compelled to come forward with information that could break this case wide open.
To Eric's family and friends who must be enduring such an unimaginable loss, my heart truly goes out to you. I can't help but think that there must be some leads or tips that haven't been shared with the public.
