Has anyone else been looking into how the community response was during this case? I was reading through some local news articles and noticed that after Monty's murder, there seemed to be a real push from the community for better policing and cooperation to curb the violence. It’s understandable because losing someone in such a brutal way affects not just the victim's family but the whole neighborhood.
Monty's case wasn’t just a tragic loss; it served as a catalyst for more dialogue on how to make Birmingham safer. I’ve read about some efforts to improve community policing and neighborhood watch programs that gained momentum around that time. It seems so crucial that we keep supporting these initiatives so we can hopefully prevent such senseless acts of violence in the future. Anyone else have thoughts or info on how things have changed since then?
