I recently came across the case of Ronald Allen Douglass, and something that's been on my mind is the note that Whitey Gleason claims Douglass left behind. Does anyone find it odd that Douglass would just up and leave with all his belongings without a trace? Considering his medical conditions and need for assistance, it seems unlikely he'd just disappear without a word to anyone but Gleason. It's been nagging at me whether the note could've been fabricated. I wonder if there was any forensic analysis done on that note back then. It's a long shot, but in cases like these, even small discrepancies might mean something crucial. Does anyone happen to know if there was a deeper investigation into the authenticity of that note?
