I can't stop thinking about how Habibba Knight Walker's case sheds light on the bigger issue of domestic violence and the justice system. It's so upsetting to think that someone as dedicated and caring as her, especially in her work at the Veterans Hospital, could suffer like this. Her mother, Adal, is incredibly brave for speaking out and encouraging others to document and report incidents of domestic abuse. It makes you wonder how many others are out there living in fear, unsure of what steps to take. I really hope this tragedy prompts more resources and support for those in similar situations. Keeping Habibba's family in my thoughts.
