Something that's been weighing on my mind is how absolutely terrifying it must have been for Daniel Perez's roommate that night. Imagine witnessing your friend getting attacked and not being able to do anything about it. The mere fact that the assailants were willing to pull the trigger not once, but twice, must have been so overwhelmingly frightening. It feels like this horrible turn of events forever changed the lives of those involved. I hope the roommate has been able to find the support and care they need to process such a traumatic experience. My thoughts go out to anyone touched by this tragedy. It's a reminder for all of us to cherish the moments we have with our loved ones.
