Has anyone else found it odd about Ricky's eyeglasses being left behind? I can't shake the feeling that this is more significant than it first seems. Given his medical issues, I imagine his sight was crucial—especially if he needed to read or sign something in a hurry. If he planned to meet someone, wouldn't he have taken them? It's unsettling that his truck was damaged pretty badly but there were no signs of a struggle at his home. Almost like two separate events. Anybody have theories about how his glasses fit into the larger picture here?

I've been following Ricky Lynn Nelson's case, and I can't stop thinking about the strange state his truck was found in. It's so perplexing that it was damaged and abandoned with two tires off the rims. Tire tracks showed it was driven on the shoulder for quite a distance after the accident. This detail makes me wonder if there was something—or someone—that caused him to drive off like that. Was he in a hurry to get somewhere, possibly fearing something? And why leave his checkbook behind? Did he plan to return for it? I get the impression that something happened on Toms Road that we'll never fully understand without new evidence. Could there have been another vehicle involved? His truck being unlocked with the keys inside suggests a sudden departure, but what was the catalyst? I'm eager to hear other theories on what might have caused Nelson to leave like this, especially considering his eyeglasses and beloved drinking glass were still at home.
