Hey everyone, I’ve been following Omar Millet-Torres’ disappearance with a heavy heart, and there’s something really bugging me. How is it that their boat could drift away so quickly after reporting the broken anchor line? Given how busy the waterway is near Key West Harbor, it's just strange to me that nobody else noticed anything. I'm curious if anyone is aware of the protocols the Coast Guard follows in situations like this. Do they have a way of tracking vessels in real-time, or could there have been a delay in getting help to them? It seems odd that in such a popular area, neither Omar, Betsy, nor their boat have been found yet. Any thoughts or insights would be appreciated. Has anyone had similar experiences in this region?

Has anyone else been following the Omar Millet-Torres case? I've been thinking a lot about that broken anchor line he reported. Can anyone more familiar with boating or marine stuff weigh in on how common it is for an anchor line to break like that? And what would a boater typically do if that happens? I know conditions can get tricky out there, and I’m just trying to understand what might have been going on. Also, with Omar and Betsy possibly adrift for a while, I'm wondering about the prevailing currents and whether they could have been pushed way off course. There seems to be little info on the condition of the weather that day, too. Any insights would be appreciated.
