Does anyone else find the handling of the initial identification process of the "Bobby Dunbar" boy bizarre? It seems strange to me that such a momentous decision was made based on the recognition of moles and scars after a bath, especially with conflicting reports from the newspapers at the time. This was clearly a high-pressure situation, and both sets of parents must have been desperate for closure. It's hard not to wonder how much psychological stress and public scrutiny influenced the Dunbars' identification of the boy as their son. Plus, with Julia Anderson’s opposing claims, it feels like assumptions were made too quickly, without a thorough examination. Just imagining how different the course of events might have been if today's DNA technology was available back then. Anyone else have thoughts on this?
