Has anyone else come across the mention of Players Bluegrass Downs in connection with Sheila Cooper's case? I find it intriguing that this location was the last place she mentioned before she disappeared. Could it have been a common meeting spot for people at the time? Or perhaps it had some significance that hasn’t been explored in-depth in the investigation? I wonder if anyone else there that night might remember seeing her or her friends. Even though it’s been so long, places like that often have regulars who could hold vital clues or memories. Anyone from the Paducah area or familiar with the spot during the '80s have thoughts or insights on this?
Was anyone else struck by the mention of Sheila Cooper's "something bad was going to happen" comment to her sister? It's such an eerie detail that's been on my mind ever since I read it. Was she simply feeling uneasy that day, or did she have some sort of premonition or gut feeling? Also, why wasn't this piece of information given more focus in the investigation? It's frustrating that this ominous warning didn't bring more urgency or direction to the case. I've seen others mentioning in true crime circles that people's last statements like this can hold significant weight in investigations. I wonder how seriously this was taken initially by the authorities back then. After all these years, it still sends chills down my spine. Anyone else have thoughts on this?
