On April 25, 2025, 22-year-old Johnathon Cruz, a resident of Georgetown, Texas, was fatally shot outside the city limits of Georgetown. Authorities responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting in the 20100 block of McShepherd Road, near State Highway 29. Williamson County EMS arrived at the scene and pronounced Cruz dead. His family, devastated by the loss, has been seeking answers regarding the circumstances of his death.
