Hey everyone,
I've been following Keith Miles' case since it first made headlines, and one aspect that's been really bothering me is the role of bystanders in these tragic situations. From what I understand, there were several witnesses who saw the altercation that led to Keith being shot. While it's easy to say "I would have done something," it's a lot more complicated in the heat of the moment, especially when there's a risk of violence.
I'm curious about everyone's thoughts on this. How can communities better equip people to safely intervene or de-escalate conflicts like the one that resulted in Keith's death? It must be terrifying to witness something like that, but I wonder if there were strategies or resources that could have helped prevent it from escalating to such a tragic outcome.
I feel for Keith's family and friends and hope they find some peace. It's devastating to lose a loved one in such a violent way. The community's support has been incredible to see, but I keep thinking about the "what if's" and how we can all play a part in preventing more senseless loss in the future.
