I've been following Deonte's case for a while, and I'm really struck by how much potential he had. His dream of going to trade school and becoming a welder shows he was looking toward a future where he could build something meaningful for himself. It's so devastating that he never got the chance to realize those dreams. His friends and family must be feeling an unimaginable loss right now, knowing what he might have achieved and how senselessly it was taken away. My thoughts go out to them in this difficult time. I wonder if there will be more in-depth investigations into the bond system that allowed Jaylin Tevin Washington to be out at the time. Really hoping justice is served for Deonte.
Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about the circumstances surrounding Deonte Keshawn Puryear's tragic death. It's really troubling to hear that someone so young and full of potential was taken from his family and community in such a senseless way. What really caught my attention was the fact that Jaylin Tevin Washington was out on bond at the time of the shooting. It makes me wonder about the system and whether it’s doing enough to prevent these tragedies from happening.
In cases like these, it’s crucial to consider whether there were any missed opportunities to intervene before things escalated to this point. It's so unfortunate that Deonte's dreams of becoming a welder and starting a bright future were cut short. My heart goes out to his family and classmates at Thompson High School who were gearing up for what should have been a milestone year.
Hoping for justice and peace for everyone impacted.

I can't stop thinking about the impact this terrible event has had on Deonte's classmates at Thompson High School. They were all gearing up to graduate together next year, and now they have this void in their lives. It's unimaginable to lose a friend so suddenly, especially someone who had such clear goals and a promising future. I'm sure his plans to go into welding and build a career were a real source of excitement and motivation for him. I hope his friends and the school community are finding ways to support each other through this incredibly difficult time. What an awful loss for everyone who knew him.
