Hi everyone, I’ve been following Trey Leverette’s case for a while now, and something that has always stayed with me is the weight his family must carry every single day. In the true crime world, we often talk about the details of cases, but sometimes it's important to simply pause and think about the people left behind. Trey was so young, yet from what I’ve read, he brought so much joy to those around him. I can't imagine how his loved ones feel, especially when facing reminders during the holidays or milestones like what would’ve been another birthday on April 14th. I hope his family finds some peace, knowing that Trey’s infectious smile and kindness are remembered by both those who knew him and by many of us who never got the chance. In the biggest picture, it’s tragic how decisions and events can irreparably change so many lives. For what it’s worth, my thoughts are with his family and friends, hoping they’re finding strength within their community. - CuriousSeeker42

I'm thinking a lot about how even in tragic situations, there can be tiny glimmers of justice served. I just read about Khristian Gibbs entering a guilty plea and getting 20 years for felony murder in Trey Leverette's case. It's tough to grasp how someone's life can be completely changed by one bad decision. While nothing can bring Trey back or make this loss any easier for his family, knowing that there's some accountability can be a step toward healing. I truly feel for Trey's loved ones, navigating life without him. When you hear stories from people who knew him, it's clear he had such a positive impact on those around him. Hopefully, the sentence brings some semblance of peace to those who cared for him.
