Darnell Antoine Lucas, 37, was fatally shot on the evening of Wednesday, October 27, 2010. The shooting occurred about 10:00 p.m. on the 2700 block of Langston Place SE in Washington, D.C. Officers in the Seventh District heard gunfire, canvassed the area, and found Lucas on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken by D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services to Prince George’s Community Hospital, where he died.

The Metropolitan Police Department opened a homicide investigation and asked the public for help. Initial reports said there were no suspects in custody; no information is available indicating arrests or suspects identified since the killing.
