Hey everyone, I just stumbled upon a really intriguing aspect of the Jenny Sun-Reisberg and Dr. Stephen Reisberg case from 1990 and wanted to get your thoughts. It's been bugging me how their rental car was found at the Pu O Kila lookout with all their gear still inside. If they were such experienced hikers, wouldn't it be odd for them to leave behind essential items like tents and backpacks? To me, it almost feels like they might have had an initial plan for a quick hike and then, for some reason, decided to extend their journey deeper into the wilderness without realizing the danger. Did they potentially get turned around in Mount Waialeale's disorienting environment? Or, considering the strange incidents happening around that time, could they have been forced away from their vehicle by someone or something? Curious if anyone has thoughts on this angle or knows more about hiker behavior in spontaneous situations like this.
