I wish she would have gone with someone else that day. I think she waded in the water and likely lost her footing. Like they said, she wasn't a swimmer. So sad.
Has anyone looked into whether any personal items of Kumiko Kurimoto were ever found besides the towel and slippers? I keep thinking that if she'd planned on just going for a quick walk along the beach, she might have brought something else with her that day—maybe a book or a phone? It's odd that only those two items were found, isn't it? I wonder if the tides might have taken anything else away, or if there were any other beachgoers who might've accidentally moved or picked up something unintentionally. Just trying to wrap my head around any possibility that might shed more light on what happened that day. Would love to hear if anyone has thoughts or theories on this angle!
