Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the curious case of Leslie Delosantos. I came across some old local news clippings from 2007, and something caught my attention. Apparently, Leslie was known for being quite experienced in picking opihi, which makes me wonder if something unusual happened that day. I read somewhere that the tides can be extremely dangerous around the time he went missing, especially in rocky areas like "Diablo" near the Onomea coast. Does anyone here know if there were any reported incidents at sea during that time? Or maybe someone with expertise in tidal patterns could chime in about how they might affect someone out picking opihi? Just trying to piece things together and see if anything new pops up. Every little detail helps!
