Does anyone else find it unsettling that an 18-year-old ended up in such a life-altering situation? Regardless of the outcome, it's incredibly sad for both families involved. Sheriff Williams had dedicated his life to the community, and losing someone of his caliber is a blow to everyone who knew him. But at the same time, I can't help but wonder about William Chase Johnson—being so young and facing such a serious charge. It's hard not to feel for his parents and what they must be going through too. I'm thinking of everyone connected to this tragedy. What a devastating ripple effect it must have throughout the town.
