I can't stop thinking about how traumatic this must have been for Patrick Edwards' wife, who witnessed the whole unimaginable situation unfold. Being present in that moment when your partner's life is senselessly taken is something that no one should ever have to endure. The fact that she went from a normal day to chasing a vehicle to witnessing the unthinkable is just deeply unsettling. I can't begin to imagine the long-lasting effects this must have on her life and emotional well-being. It's a painful reminder of how quickly life can change forever. My heart goes out to her and the rest of Patrick's family as they try to navigate life after such a devastating loss.
