It's hard to even comprehend the pain that the families of the victims, including James Wayne Benford, must be going through. I've been thinking a lot about the role of law enforcement in this tragedy. While I'm grateful that Legg and Rogers were caught, it makes me wonder about the steps that could have been taken to prevent such an atrocity in the first place. Did anyone else read up on how these two managed to orchestrate and execute such a brutal plan without raising alarms sooner? It seems like there might have been warning signs that got missed. It's a reminder of how crucial community vigilance is and that we should all be more aware of our surroundings and the people in them.
