Kelvin Donnell Brown was 22 when he was shot and killed in Washington, D.C., in the early hours of Tuesday, July 5, 2011. He was found with a gunshot wound in the 1600 block of Lincoln Road NE shortly after midnight; emergency medical services arrived about 12:35 a.m. and transported him to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

The Metropolitan Police Department’s homicide detectives investigated and publicly identified Brown as the victim, asking the community for information. The shooting was recorded on the city’s homicide list for 2011.
